Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

When you vote on Tourhere, we collect your email address, the city and venue type you voted for, and your IP address (hashed for fraud prevention). We also process browser information and an approximate location derived from your connection for fraud checks. This is separate from the city you request. Artist and organiser enquiries contain the contact details and message you submit.

2. How we use your data

Your email is used to verify your vote. If you separately choose show alerts, we can email you about confirmed shows in your selected city. You can unsubscribe through the link in those emails. Voting or sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. Your vote data (city, venue type) is aggregated and shared with booking agents and promoters as anonymous demand intelligence. They see vote counts per city, not individual email addresses.

3. Who sees your data

Booking agents and promoters see aggregated vote counts only (e.g., "47 votes for Amsterdam"). They never see your email address or personal information. Your email is only visible to Tourhere administrators for system operations and support purposes.

4. Data storage & security

We use Supabase for database storage and Vercel for hosting. The website uses HTTPS. For fraud prevention, we store an IP-derived hash rather than the raw IP in vote records. Hashing does not make this information anonymous. Service providers also process connection information to operate and protect their services.

5. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

6. Cookies

Essential cookies and local storage support sign-in, your saved preferences and voting features. Optional usage analytics is off until you accept it. It records page paths and actions such as opening a vote form or sharing a link. Campaign measurement additionally records campaign labels and the referring website. We do not store IP hashes, browser identifiers or location in these optional analytics events. These choices do not control email subscriptions.

7. Data retention

Vote data is retained as long as the associated artist page is active on the platform. If you request deletion of your data, we will remove your email and associated votes within 30 days. Aggregated, anonymized statistics may be retained.

8. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

• • Supabase. Database and authentication
• • Resend. Transactional email delivery
• • Mapbox. Globe visualization
• • Vercel. Website hosting and approximate connection location
• • Sentry. Operational error reporting when configured. Session replay and performance tracing are not enabled.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered voters of significant changes via email.
